14 June - Plainsmen too thin in Sutherland

The Plainsmen showed up in Sutherland Iowa missing a few very key players and with a short roster to take on the Iowa Sharks. The Sharks were on their game and playing very good football and proved to be a little overwhelming for the lack of numbers on the Plainsmen bench. Andy Wing once again finds the end zone, on an amazing run, for the Plainsmen's lone touchdown, and Greg Kisor with another magnificent field goal puts another three on the board. We thank the Iowa Sharks for hosting us and showing us a really good time, and look forward to playing them many more times in the future. Final Score, 54-9

7 June - Plainsmen make a stand at home against Hawks

The Midwest Plainsmen played an amazing game against the Southeast Iowa Hawks at home. With a healthy sized bench and no injuries the Plainsmen were able to keep the Hawks out of the end zone. The Plainsmen were put on the board in the first quarter by kicker Greg Kisor with a 48 yard field goal. Then, in the second quarter line backer Mike Gilbert was able to recover a lose ball and return the fumble for over 70 yards leading to a 10 - 0 half time. The Plainsmen received the kick off to open the second half as Andy Wing took flight and returned it for a touchdown. Once again Greg Kisor was able to hit another field goal in the third quarter. Finally to end the scoring for the game Andy Wing was once again able to put the ball in the end zone on a 30 yard rushing touchdown. Leading to a final Score of 27 - 0. Once again, we would like to thank the SE Iowa Hawks for traveling out to Omaha and giving us an amazing game, they played very well and with a lot of heart.

31 May - Plainsmen Fight Hard In Minnesota

The Midwest Plainsmen played a hard game against The Wolfpack of Minnesota Valley. The Plainsmen were able to put the ball in the endzone a total of three times. The first came off of a QB keeper as Mike Gilbert was able to get in for a score and put the Plainsmen on the board. The remaining two scores came off of rushing touchdowns by leading offensive producer Andy Wing. A six hour drive and a thin roster proved to be just a little too much for the Plainsmen to overcome after a late fourth-quarter rally. The Plainsmen thank the Wolfpack for an amazing game and look forward to taking them on at home on the 21st of June to avenge their narrow loss. Final Score Wolfpack 34 Plainsmen 19.

24 May - Iowa Sharks Come to Omaha

The Midwest Plainsmen open the regular season at home. Ralston High School was kind enough to allow use of their beautiful football field as the Iowa       Sharks travel from Sutherland Iowa to take on The Plainsmen at home. The Iowa sharks' experience and roster depth proves to be too much for the Plainsmen, as the Iowa sharks pull ahead in the second half for a final score of 29-0.
